This work is a way to deal with the fact that, in many occasions, Colombia exhibit an exuberant landscape that is the scenery of killings and disappearances. As a way to hide the deads and leave no trace, forces of all kind, dig and fill thousands of clandestines common graves.

Nature becomes the layer that covers the identities and the force that sweep and tear the faces, the names and the stories of horror and violence.

- it seems like an earthly paradise!

The frame is doomed due to continuity, return to it implies noticing what goes unnoticed. Search this turning point, the vanishing point, allow me the expression of absence. Approaching the frame, destabilizes the hegemony of the narrative and drove us into the openness.

This work involves the precarious, analog and manual re elaboration of certain scenes of the film Taxi Driver, that focus on the main character of the film. It involves the substitution of the device and the film support, the appropriation of an image in movement and also the fascination for the caracter that writes in his diary

Splendor is a set of 40 monochromatic drawings in small format, no larger than half letter, made with ink. the drawings are based on diverse films such as, Tora tora tora, The last kamikaze, For those we love, I will die only for you above all, The empire of the sun and real footage.

The light, the disappearance, the blur, the simplicity of the images, the contrast, the exposure are important characteristics throughout the entire series.
